John Robson: Landscapes
May 17th - June 11th 2011
Opening and Artists Reception Thursday, May 19th 6-9pm

Crowell’s Fine Art is proud to present John K. Robson: Landscapes on view at the gallery from May 17th - June 11th 2011.  In this recent body of work, Robson presents select pieces on a much larger scale than has previously been shown. Robsons ability to capture the soul of a place allows him to create captivating images that combine elements of abstraction with his exquisite talent for both composition and color. A master photographer, Robson delivers poignant images of the local landscape. John K. Robson has been photographing the landscape of the South Coast for decades. His unique approach to capturing the industrial and scenic beauty of the region produces lush imagery that is thought provoking and honest. With a full palette, Robson delivers emotive photographs of the landscape as seen by the artists eye.

David B. Boyce, Senior Arts Correspondent for the New Bedford Standard Times referred to Robson as, “a photographer who also sees with the vision of a painter….. an image-maker of remarkable range.”

Robson is a native of New Bedford with a 1985 BFA in Graphic Design from the Swain School of Design. His work has been exhibited internationally. John was awarded the "Who's Who in America" as well as a "Massachusetts Commonwealth Award in Arts".

John K. Robson is represented by Crowell’s Fine Art Gallery.
